Grant Operations Liaison, Bloomberg Philanthropies
Roland Kennedy, Jr., has been a grant operations professional for seven years. His career focus has been social and civic funding related to U.S. and international democracy, elections, journalism, arts and culture, and 501(c)(4)grantmaking. Prior to his work in philanthropy, Roland completed a fellowship with the Pennsylvania House of Representatives Black Caucus, where he focused on constituent engagement and public policies related to Black social and economic progress.
Black men at different levels within grants management will share their experiences and views of a sector that has been dominated by white men. In philanthropy, there is little representation for Black men in leadership positions, and this conversation will help bring perspective to the data around representation for Black voices.
