Senior Community Investment Officer, Greater Washington Community Foundation

As a results-oriented and high energy leader, Dawnn Leary joined the Greater Washington Community Foundation in February 2015 as senior community investment officer and co-lead of the Greater Washington Workforce Development Collaborative. At the foundation, she serves as the lead for all competitive and discretionary grantmaking for the Prince George’s County office and manages other competitive grantmaking initiatives across issue areas. She joined the foundation after serving in the D.C. office of the Local Initiatives Support Corporation as a program officer, where she managed the grants program focused largely on housing and community and development organizations and led the office’s capacity building efforts. Prior to her tenure at LISC, Dawnn worked at the HSC Foundation leading their health and wellness initiatives focused on residents living in at-risk communities and at the East of the River Community Development Corporation, where she served in various roles.
