The Presence and Voice of the African-American Male in Philanthropy

302 Beckler

Black men at different levels within grants management will share their experiences and views of a sector that has been dominated by white men. In philanthropy, there is little representation for Black men in leadership positions, and this conversation will help bring perspective to the data around representation for Black voices. Participants will leave saying “I SEE—not just know about—Black men in philanthropy, they belong here, and the leadership that they demonstrate – in their communities, in their churches, and in philanthropy – is valued and valuable.”
