Philanthropy Re-Imagined: From Charity to Power in Historically Disenfranchised Communities

305 Chehalis

In this session participants will learn the story of Racial Justice NOW! and the Communities for Just Schools Fund through storytelling.

Presenters will highlight CJSF’s particular “special sauce”: providing general and multi-year support for organizing groups, recognizing that movement work is slow because it is “people work” that requires leadership development and building political will, and growing the partner network by focusing on the important work of ensuring there is a breadth and depth of people represented as well as engagement across differences.
